Melody Jefferson

Melody Jefferson has her hand in many different area's here at T.Robinson. She is highly regarded for her outstanding ability to build meaningful connections with clients from a variety of backgrounds. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies.

Melody is an active member of Christ Church in Statesville, NC, under the leadership of Pastor Chip McGee. She serves as a leader in Celebrate Recovery, a ministry within Christ Church, guided by Pastor Brian King. Additionally, she is a member of the Statesville Board Committee, where she advocates for Mitchell Community College and supports local organizations in assisting those in need.

In 2016, Melody attended Mitchell Community College (MCC) in Statesville, NC, where she made a big difference by helping youth dealing with addiction, whether it affected them personally or through loved ones. Her positive impact on students and staff led her to create the Recovery Program at the college. Melody credits her motivation and success to her children, family, and the support of her former professor, Mrs. Sally Dellinger. Now retired,Mrs. Dellinger has been the most impactful professor in Melody's educational journey, consistently believing in her potential, even through challenging moments.

During her time at MCC, Melody earned several awards and graduated with honors. She completed an Associate’s degree in Human Services and also earned certificates in Substance Abuse, Human Services, and Developmental Disabilities from Mitchell Community College.  

In 2020, Melody earned her Peer Support Certificate (CPSS) from VAYA in Asheville, NC, which opened the door to her career in the mental health field.

Melody spent over five years working as a CPSS at A Caring Alternative (ACA) in Morganton, NC. During her time there, she worked hard to grow into various roles, eventually becoming the therapist for the CST Team. She also took on two internship roles at Broughton Hospital and Grace Hospital in the Mental Health Unit. Though she’s no longer with ACA, Melody reflects on how it profoundly influenced her life. She gained valuable insights, learning what to carry forward into her next chapter. Renee Bracket, ACA’s Director, was an inspiring leader who had the greatest impact on her journey. Melody remains deeply grateful for the lessons, challenges, and experiences that shaped who she is today.
